CONCRETE CRUSHERS NOW AVAILABLE FOR HIRE
Red Rhino Crusher Specifications
The Red Rhino 5000 Series Concrete Crusher is a single toggle jaw crusher with a jaw aperture of 500mm x 250mm – it can crush a full UK kerbstone in approximately 30 seconds. At only 1660mm wide it is able to enter sites where space and access are restricted.
Dimensions
Length: 4400mm, Width: 1660mm,
Total Height: 1950mm, Loading Height: 1960mm,
Weight: 2940kg
Output
The Output will vary according to jaw setting, loading method, loading equipment, input material and familiarity of the loading operator. Between 5 and 10 tonnes per hour has been achieved.
Jaws
The hydraulic adjustment/reverse lever allows for the quick release of jammed material and adjustment of product size. Further safety features are fitted as standard. Jaw plates are made of 14% manganese steel which will ‘work-harden’. The jaws are reversible meaning that they have ‘2 lives’.
Reinforced Concrete & Steel
For reinforced concrete it is recommended that you protect your conveyor belt and crush this material having removed the belt.
Engine
The engine is a Deutz 40hp air cooled diesel set at 2,300rpm. The fuel tank capacity is 30 litres, with a fuel consumption of approximately 6 litres per hour.
Tracks & Controls
Tracks are rubber and controlled by a radio control remote for safe loading, unloading and tracking. Controls are simple and clearly labelled. A hydraulic oil cooler is fitted to ensure longer life of hydraulic equipment
Conveyor & Dust Suppression
Dust suppression is fitted as standard and is by means of fine water spray nozzles, utilising standard domestic hose pressure. The output conveyor is simple in design with a moulded belt providing strength and durability.
Loading
Maximum productivity is achieved by correct loading of the crusher. This is a steady feeding of the hopper, ensuring that the jaw or hopper is not overloaded, using a maximum 3t mini excavator with a maximum 18inch bucket.
Optimum tonnage per hour is achieved by positioning the excavator directly in-line with the rear of the machine, and that the excavator operator has a clear line of sight with the jaw.
Screener
An optional conveyor mounted screener is available for the separation of dust and topsoil from the crushing process. Supplied with a 10mm mesh, the screener can also assist with the creation of decorative aggregates.
Safety & Maintenance
There are two emergency stop buttons located to either side of the machine, and the front inspection cover is fitted with a cut-off switch. The engine cover is lockable and a central greasing point is fitted. Service intervals are every 250 hours.
